escapes-seagate-photoThis charming resort is surrounded by five stunning aquariums, sea-inspired fixtures and a 2,500 gallon shark tank. This luxury resort located on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach has three outdoor pools, a full-service spa and fitness center, a private beach club and a private country club.

The tropical British Colonial style building is four stories with 154 deluxe rooms and suites all featuring marble and stone bathrooms, mahogany woodwork, in-room entertainment systems and private bars, with lavish balconies. All guest rooms are appointed with the finest features.

There are six distinctive dining venues to choose from and, of course, there are all the wonderful restaurants and bars within walking distance of downtown Delray Beach. The hotel also features a piano bar named Jellies.

The hotel grounds are all tropical inspired with palms, flowering native plants and and water fountains. The lobby’s beach-chic interior was inspired by the sea with fixtures of natural sea elements. Hotel guests have access to the private Seagate Beach Club which offers fine dining and casual restaurants. The beach club also has a swimming pool. The hotel provides complimentary transportation to and from the beach club.

The spa features seven treatment rooms, a full wet room with Vichy shower, two large steam rooms, a yoga studio and a manicure pedicure suite. The spa offers various massages and body treatments all using organic skincare products. In keeping with its ocean-inspired theme, the signature treatment of Seagate’s spa is the Hot Shell Massage.

Children are welcome at the hotel and children under the age of 12 stay free when accompanied by an adult. The hotel is also pet friendly with a weight restriction of 20 pounds. It charges for pets and there is a deep-cleaning fee upon departure.

In addition to the shark tank the aquariums all feature different species. The lobby aquarium displays vibrant reef fish in the 2,500 gallon tank. The other aquariums feature Morey eels, tranquil jelly fish and wild Lionfish.

On our recent trip we visited Jellie’s for a cocktail and decided to try the All Day Dining Menu that Atlantic Grill offers on weekends. The menu is interesting and has some unique items that are not often seen. We sampled a few appetizers and had the best pizza ever. The food was very good and the service was warm and friendly. A visit to Seagate Hotel should be on every South Floridian’s bucket list.

The entire resort has a beachy theme with beautiful light fixtures and accessories throughout the entire resort, even in the rest rooms. In addition to Jellie’s bar there is an outdoor pool bar to enjoy. The atmosphere is very casual yet it is an elegant resort. Seagate Hotel is a member of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts group of hotels.
