Royal Dames Of Cancer Research Tiara Ball Held At Pier Sixty-Six.
The Royal Dames of Cancer Research celebrated its 49th Annual Tiara Ball, “Tickled Pink,” and honored philanthropist Sharon Gustafson-Florescue, who has experienced the emotional pain of losing a loved one to cancer, while raising funds for cancer research at the Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute located on Nova Southeastern University’s main campus in Davie. The Royal Dames are extremely proud of the millions of dollars they have donated to research over the years. According to Anita Kotler, Chair of the event, “There is a growing excitement and optimism that we are teetering on the brink of some major cancer breakthroughs. We cannot help but feel, while the complexities of a cure are colossal, the battle is beginning to turn in our favor.”
