The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is October 31 to November 4 this year. This annual show is in its 59th year. Fort Lauderdale is known to be the “Yachting Capital of the World.”

The show exhibits an extensive array of the industry’s latest boats and yachts of all sizes, plus the newest marine products and accessories to enhance the nautical lifestyle. From yacht builders to brokerage yachts, this show is a must-see for boating enthusiasts.

Over 110,000 visitors attended the show last year, which has over three million square feet of exhibitor space, six miles of floating docks, 12,000 plus exhibitors, over 1500 boats on display, with over 52 countries represented.

There are seven locations to visit with the two main locations being the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center and Bahia Mar Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort.

In addition to all the products and merchandise at the boat show, visitors will also enjoy the best culinary experience with a large variety of food and beverages served throughout the many locations.

The culinary experience also is environmentally friendly with various programs in place such as their “No Styrofoam” policy. The managing culinary experience is overseen by “Proof of the Pudding” which prohibits the use of styrofoam packaging or service ware with any food delivery or at any of their events and venues. All locations are required to comply with this policy.

To support the commitment to sustainable and local food procurement, they encourage all culinary venues to label all menu items with regards to: locally-grown food (they use the 8-state Southern region of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky).
