Since January, MSN has continued to publish facts about all the states in the United States and, fortunately, Florida starts with an “F,” so you can click past the front of the list and get to our state pretty quickly. I found it curious that they do this about once a week, so I started making notes and decided it might be interesting to our readers. I’m not sure how these facts are being accumulated, and I am not sure I agree with some of them. It is hard for me to believe the nicest place in Florida is Parkland considering we have Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Palm Beach, Naples and many other nice places in our state. Having recently stayed at Faena in Miami Beach, I would question if Sunset Key Cottages is the most expensive hotel in Florida and, as for the best steak, their restaurant, the award-winning Argentine open-fire restaurant Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann, has the best steak I have ever tasted. So, in the end it is all a matter of personal choice. If you would like to share some of your favorite Florida places, we are all ears. The one thing we hopefully can agree on is we live in a wonderful state.
