As we start the New Year, I cannot help but reflect upon what I am grateful for. This past November, I was given the great privilege to serve you, the people of District 93, as you elected me to the Florida House of Representatives. I am so thankful to be given this opportunity to represent our community in Tallahassee. I am also grateful for having had the honor of representing you over the past eight years as a Broward County Commissioner. As we look ahead, I look forward to being your voice, the voice of the residents, businesses and tourists, and I am committed to working together with local governments in Tallahassee.

Las Olas Boulevard

After representing District 4 as your Broward County Commissioner for the past eight years, I understand our community needs and I will make sure our needs are in the forefront in the upcoming legislative session. My highest priority is always making sure we keep our economy strong by fighting to expand economic opportunity, fighting to continue to invest in our port and airport, and providing support for our tourism industry. As your State Representative, I will continue to stand strong for families against higher taxes, as I did on the Broward County Commission. Additionally, I will continue to be a strong advocate for the protection of our environment, making sure we keep our waterways pristine and address concerns about coastal flooding, while also fighting to make sure our beaches are protected. This is a critical issue for our time and for me.

As a lifelong resident of Broward County, I am invested in our community and as your State Representative I am incredibly honored to be given the opportunity to serve you. During the thirteen months that we campaigned, I listened intently, and I learned about many key issues that our residents are concerned about. I plan to bring these issues to Tallahassee, making sure your needs and concerns are being heard, and work with both sides to find solutions to these issues. As I head to our State Capitol for the 2019 Legislative Session, I am confident that by working together we can continue to make Broward County the best place to live, work, play, visit and raise a family.

If you have any thoughts, concerns or issues you would like to share with me, or if I can be helpful to you throughout the legislative session or throughout the rest of the year, please feel free to contact me at my new email address: Chip.LaMarca@MyFloridaHouse.com. We are also in the process of opening our new District Legislative Office.  As always, it is my honor to serve you.

Florida State House Representative, District 93.
